Conan remains in Turanian service for about two years, becoming an expert horseman and archer and traveling over the immense deserts, mountains, and jungles of Hyrkania, as far as the borders of Khitai.  He learns many of his languages during this period and becomes familiar with the habits and customs of the Easterners, knowledge that later will serve him in good stead.

Combat

Conan's fighting style has gained his well known deadliness at this period of time.  His combat reflexes give him quite the advantage in mass battles, with up to four attacks of opportunity as soldiers pass through his threat zone.  His Great Cleave skill allows him to further wade through lesser warriors, crushing them left and right.

Rage
: Once per day, Conan can go into a rage and   increase his Strength and Constitution by +4, and gains a +2 morale bonus  to Will saves.  He suffers a -2 penalty to AC.

Fast movement:
Conan's speed is increased by +10 feet when wearing no armor, light armor, and shields.

Sneak Attack:
Canan strikes a vital spot for extra damage  whenever he catches an opponent flat footed or when he flanks an  opponent.

Evasion:
If exposed to an effect that allows a Reflex save  for half damage Conan takes no damage if that save is successful.

Uncanny Dodge: Conan retains his dexterity bonus to his AC even when caught flatfooted or surprised.  He can sense danger before it even becomes apparent.
Note:  These stories are non-Canonical.  They were not written by Howard.  But I wanted Conan to have another level in fighter before he shows up again in Howard's writing.  I chose fighter instead of barbarian because he seemed to be learning more and more militaristic skills.  Perhaps this is a misunderstanding of the character on the part of L. Sprague de Camp, but since I started using his chronology, I may as well carry it through.  Evidence in later stories does seem to bear out that Conan could have been in the Turanian military for three years, so I still feel the levels in fighter are warranted, even though the stories I assigned to this level are non-Canonical.  As a fighter, he gains more feats, feats I feel he should have for the later Howard stories.

"The People of the Summit" was written by Bjorn Nyberg.  Purists may want to ignore those stories, but even Howard agreed that Conan spent a few years (three or four) in mercenary service, so I feel granting him a level here is still warranted.
