Maanzebosskator is a member of the Violet Line, and fights to defend its community from invasion.  It is a scarred and massive mind flayer, bulked up unlike most with muscles.  It wears a heavy powered carapace armor, making him a large armor.  The armor is horned, spiked, and has a set of decorative wings like a gargoyle's.  It specialized in the fighting of outsiders, particularly devils.  Because mind flayers are already lawful evil, fiends find it an easy task to get the flayers to work for them.  However, fiends are innately inferior to flayers, so this is not an acceptable arrangement.  Mind flayers like Maanzebosskator see to it that the fiends do not take advantage of their superiors.  Maanzebosskator is the silent type, preferring to listen than to speak.  It distrusts those who talk too much.  It has been to Hell and back, and is familiar with the terrain there.  When it isn't wearing its armor, one can see it has a birth mark on its bulbous head that is vaguely in the shape of a sword.

Mind Blast (Sp):
This attack is 60 feet long.  Anyone caught in this cone must succeed at a Will save (DC 18) or be stunned for 3d4 rounds.

Psionics (Sp): At Will – Astral projection, charm monster, detect thoughts, levitate, plane shift, and suggestion.  These abilities are as the spells cast by an 8th level sorcerer (Save DC 14+ spell level)

Improved Grab (Ex): To use this ability, the mind flayer must hit a small to large critter with its tentacle attack.  If it gets a hold, it attaches the tentacle to the opponent's head.  After a successful grab, it can try to attach its remaining tentacles with a single grapple check .

Extract (Ex): A mind flayer that begins its turn with all four tentacles attached and successfully maintains its hold automatically extracts the opponent's brain, instantly killing the creature.

Telepathy (Su): Mind flayers can communicate telepathically with any creature within 100 feet that has a language.

Damage Bonus vs. Devils (Ex): Due to extensive training, the devil slayer gets a +5 damage bonus against devils.

Righteous Sword (Ex): Training allows the devil slayer to attack creatures with DR as if his weapon had an additional +1 bonus.  His tentacles attack as though they have a +1 bonus, but his magic sword attacks as though it had a +7 bonus.

Immunity to Fear and Charm (Ex): Immune to all fear effects, magical or otherwise; immune to all charm spells and spell-like effects.

Violet Beacon (Sp): When this mind flayer needs other warriors, he manifests the psionic beacon of his order.  This takes a standard action and is detailed in Unveiled Masters: The Essential Guide to Mind Flayers, page 103.

Valor of the Kin (Ex): Secure in his own place, and proud of his accomplishments and place in society, Maanzebosskator gains a +2 morale bonus on all saves against mind affecting spells and effects.
