Zografos saw a long-legged, black-haired Drow. She was tall for
a Drow, being almost six feet in height. Her dark hair was long and fell like
water around her shoulders, down past her waist, nearly to her knees. Under
delicate black brows brooded a pair of deep, hard red eyes that hinted at mysterious
thoughts and sinister feelings. She wore a slinky black gown that clung to
her lithe form. She was a ravishing picture of darkness and perversion.
The dark haired one said, "Two hundred and fifty in GOLD? The
books are not for sale for money." She slinked closer and reached out with
a hand to touch Zografos, her long fingernails reflected the lamplight in the
room. "However, for a few services I could be induced to sell them for
money."
"Such services would be?"
"Sex and violence, of course."
~Illithid Slayer Chronicles, Volume IX,
"Discovery and Insight"
Trielthrae runs Books
of Shynt, an esoteric magic
shoppe. She is the dire enemy of a drow named Dirzylkacha
of Hun'ani. An orphan, she worked as a young prostitute to survive her
childhood. She wanted to be more, however. She excelled at sexual
technique, and worked hard to perfect it, often using money earned from sex to
purchase sex from well-regarded prostitutes and teachers. She found she
could earn more money from the non-Drow, many of whom yearned to have relations
with someone as young as she. As she grew older, she was placed on the
Paths of Lolthtanchwi, and became zwy'il. Now subject to the whims
of her dark goddess, she undertook the Chwineka while having sex with a
human deep in the slums of Erelhei-Cinlu. Passing that test, she knew she was
superior enough to advance in Drow society. Lesser drow gave her deference
in most social circumstances, and she was permitted the partners of her choice -
no longer was she given the left- overs or undesirables from other
prostitutes. She was now ready for the Chwikezzar. This
subtle test involved some information that would greatly increase her profits,
but was extremely risky - and the information was unverifiable. She
successfully blackmailed a powerful Drow priestess, and became a temple
prostitute, a rare situation for someone still young enough to be in beryn
fin (the "time of discovery", between 50 and 100 years of age,
similar to puberty in humans). Surviving that test, and now on her way to
becoming wealthy, she soon had the disturbing visions that precede the Chwidridera,
and she became afraid of spiders. She fought the irrational fear, and
passed the test, and the paranoia vanished. She found the web of intrigue
and double-crossing, blackmail and sexual power-plays beginning to tighten
around her.
She passed into adulthood, and continued to ply her trade with increased skill. However, rumors about her soon began to pass around the temples, rumors that the child she had just given birth to was half human (totally false), rumors that threatened her position. She worked hard, going through tremendous effort to find the source of these rumors, and managed to quash the horrible rumor and the perpetrator so quickly it impressed all who beheld the effort. She had passed the Chwiakrell, and had made an enemy of the Hun'ani House. She also became the owner of Books of Shynt through this downfall of the Hun'ani House. She had two more daughters (she has no idea who the fathers are) and one son (she knows who his father is, and is blackmailing him).
She is waiting still for the next Test of Lolth, the Chwidevbril. In the meantime, she is content to run her bookstore. She loves magic and feels it in her bones.
She is a long-legged drow with black hair (instead of the usual silver-white hair common to the race). Her features are delicate, and her eyes are red. Her body is lithe and trim. She loves to wear fancy gowns, and enjoys reading and fucking. She is extremely skilled sexually, and is quite wealthy. She wants the best for her children, and indulges their whims when she can (unless, of course, she decides to be mean for no other reason than to torment them). Extremely treacherous, she delights in taking advantage of people. She is fascinated by dragons, and loves sexual encounters with them (although she has only had the chance once, it was an event she replays in her mind constantly). She knows much about the sexual habits of the upper echelons of Erelhei-Cinlu.
Spell-Like Abilities: Drow can use the following spell-like abilities once per day: dancing lights, darkness, faerie fire. Caster level equals the drow’s class levels. She can cast Charm Person 3 times per day. Caster level equals the drow’s Rake class levels
Dreaming (Sp): A dreaded power that can sap a man's will and leave him a wasted, lifeless husk, the dreaming is a bizarre offshoot of fey magic, a shared hallucination, a set of illusions that deeply immerse those caught within them in a fantasy world, an entrancing mirage that leaves the non-fey victims drooling, senseless idiots. Will DC 23, or the character counts as stunned. Can be used 3/day.
Song of Nature's Desire
(Su): Once per day, she can sing a short, lilting tune as a standard
action. She selects a target within 60 feet that must make a Will save (DC
21) or suffer a -4 penalty to all Will saves, Wisdom checks, and Wisdom based
skills for the next 1d6 minutes. The song awakens the victim's inner,
animal desires, clouds his judgment, and leaves him reeling.
Seduction (Sp): She can use suggestive comments and body language
to produce an effect similar to the bard's fascinate abiltiy. The
creature to be seduced must be able to see and hear her and must be within 30
feet. The creature must be able to pay attention to her. The target
can negate the effect with a successful Will save (DC = the rake's Charisma
check). While seduced, the target's Spot and Listen checks suffer a -4
penalty.
Seductive Art (Ex): She has an inherent understanding of sexuality as it pertains to social situations. She gains a +3 competency bonus on Diplomacy and Sense Motive checks.
Pillow Talk (Su): She can glean information from the target that she has bedded. After an hour of sexual contact, the target speaks freely and without deceit, as if under the effects of a zone of truth. The target gains a Will save (DC 18) to negate this effect, however the target must take a -4 penalty.
Forgetful Caress (Su): She has the ability to make a target lose certain memories. She must make a touch attack (which must be a kiss, a caress, or some other intimate action) against the target. The target makes a Will save (DC 18). If he fails, she can have the opponent forget a single piece of information, such as her appearance, their meeting, or even her name. The target cannot be made to forget a class ability, spell, or other inherent power. If the target makes the save, he will not forget anything, but will not be aware of the attempt.
Sneak Attack:
If Trielthrae can catch an opponent when he is
unable to defend himself effectively from her attack, she can strike a vital
spot for extra damage.
Her attack deals extra
damage any time her target would be denied a Dexterity bonus to AC (whether the
target actually has a Dexterity bonus or not), or when the rogue flanks her
target. This extra damage is 1d6 at 2nd level, and it increases by 1d6 every
five rake levels thereafter. Should she score a critical hit with a sneak
attack, this extra damage is not multiplied.
Ranged attacks can count as
sneak attacks only if the target is within 30 feet.
With a sap (blackjack) or
an unarmed strike, she can make a sneak attack that deals nonlethal damage
instead of lethal damage. She cannot use a weapon that deals lethal damage to
deal nonlethal damage in a sneak attack, not even with the usual –4 penalty.
She can sneak attack only
living creatures with discernible anatomies—undead, constructs, oozes, plants,
and incorporeal creatures lack vital areas to attack. Any creature that is
immune to critical hits is not vulnerable to sneak attacks. She must be able to
see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to reach
such a spot. She cannot sneak attack while striking a creature with concealment
or striking the limbs of a creature whose vitals are beyond reach.
Possessions: 12 doses of Fezrah (drug), 5 doses of Chiff (another drug); Hand of Death (she hasn't attached it... yet); Wand of Lightning Bolt; Wand of Polymorph Self; Rod of Splendor; Robe of Eyes; Cloak of Arachnida, Staff of Size Alteration (so she can have sex comfortably with different size clients); silvered dagger, adamantine dagger, 12 +3 bolts of Wounding
Drow Traits:
Immunity to sleep spells and
effects, and a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells or
effects. (Not reflected in the saving throw modifiers given here.)
+2 racial bonus on Listen, Search, and
Spot checks. An elf who merely passes within 5 feet of a secret or concealed
door is entitled to a Search check to notice it as if she were actively
looking for it.
+2 Intelligence, +2 Charisma.
Darkvision out to 120 feet. This trait
replaces the high elf ’s low-light vision.
Spell resistance equal to 11 + class
levels.
+2 racial bonus on Will saves against
spells and spell-like abilities.
Weapon Proficiency: A drow is
automatically proficient with the hand crossbow, the rapier, and the short
sword.
Automatic Languages: Common, Elven,
Undercommon. Bonus Languages: Abyssal, Aquan, Draconic, Drow Sign
Language, Gnome, Goblin. This trait replaces the high elf ’s automatic and
bonus languages.

bright light (such as sunlight or a daylight spell) blinds drow for 1
round. On subsequent rounds, they are dazzled as long as they remain in the
affected area.
Favored Class: Wizard (male) or cleric
(female). This trait replaces the high elf ’s favored class.
Level adjustment +2.
