AKANKE, Demigoddess of Prostitution

Akanke, a former priestess of Marush Hob, was made into the patron demigoddess of prostitutes.  She takes the form of a beautiful woman, usually with dark hair and blue clothing.  She protects prostitutes from pregnancy and social diseases.  Her holy color is pink.  One sacrifices jewelry to her to gain her attentions.

Her priestesses can use bows, mancatchers, clubs, scimitars, and flails for weapons.  Her domains are Earth, Fire, Healing, Luck, Magic, Plant, Travel, and Trickery.

A priestess of Akanke can also dispel the charm of a succubus or an erinyes.   She can even overcome the charms of dryads and nymphs.

Priestesses of Akanke are expected to live life by pleasing others and
make money while they do it.  Priestesses of Akanke are expected to extol the virtues of womanhood to as many people as possible.  Worshippers of Akanke do not marry.  For them, the path to enlightenment is one of sexual excess and the accumulation of wealth.
