Maxwell, a Khemian born in Ingara, is the youngest member of the original Guardians of the Silver Tree. Born in 28 VI, he was named Nepankhra by his Khemian parents, but he went by his nickname "Max" until well after he joined Sir Grimhelm. He believes and treats the Silver Tree and Ra as one and the same deity. He taught demonstrating the strength of good through charity and modesty. Nepankhra's favorite point was that the truly strong don't need to prove their power, and he often tried to remind King Grimhelm of this. Nepankhra urged those who would listen to perform so many good acts that evil would have no room to exist. Even so, Nepankhra acknowledged that there are times when evil must be defeated in direct confrontation.
He is a member of the original Guardians of the Silver Tree, and was the Guardians' primary source of divine magic and lore. He was also the group's healer, counselor, and source of spiritual support.
During the decade that Sir Grimhelm was dead, Nepankhra managed a revolt in Khemt and became, for a while at least, Pharaoh of Khemt (11 VII to 4 VIII, a total of five years). See the History of Khemt for more details. After he stepped down from the throne of Khemt, he was taken bodily to the Seven Heavens to live in peace as a reward for the great good he has done in his life.
Combat
Max fights with a silver warhammer, detailed below, or with divine magic.
Silver Warhammer: +4 Holy Silver Thundering Warhammer. This impressive weapon does +2d6 damage against all evil, and resounds like a crack of thunder on a successful critical hit, doing an additional +2d8 damage on top of the triple damage regularly done on a critical hit.
Turn Undead: Nepankhra can turn undead up to 10 times per day (or he can use his greater turning power in place of 6 of those times- see below). See page 32 of Player's Handbook.
Spontaneous Casting: Nepankhra can channel stored spell energy into healing spells they haven't prepared ahead of time. See page 32 of Player's Handbook.
Radiance: When Nepankhra casts any spell with the Light descriptor, the radius of illumination is doubled, and the spell as treated as if it were one level higher than it actually is for all purposes.
Turn Undead: Nepankhra adds his Radiant Servant of the Silver Tree prestige class to his cleric levels for all purposes related to turning undead.
Extra Greater Turning: Nepankhra can perform a Greater Turning 6 times per day (instead of just once).
Empower Healing: When Nepankhra casts a domain spell from the Healing domain, that spell is affected as though by the Empower Spell feat. The spell does not use up a higher level slot.
Divine Health: Nepankhra is immune to all diseases, including magical diseases such as mummy rot and lycanthropy.
Aura of Warding: Nepankhra and all allies within 10 feet of him gain a +2 morale bonus to all Will saving throws.
Additional Domain: Nepankhra was granted by Ra/The Silver Tree the Good Domain as a third domain.
Maximize Healing: When Nepankhra casts a spell from the Healing Domain, that spell is affected as though by the Maximize Spell feat and does not use up a higher-level slot. This supersedes Empower Healing until Nepankhra reaches tenth level of Radiant Servant of the Silver Tree.
