The Journal of Tobal-Do
Originally written in an unknown cipher on long scrolls, this journal contains a wealth of knowledge about the universe and about an entity known as Bhorys Thotob, as well as a fair amount of nonsensical raving. The author was assuredly mad, and reading this horrid journal offers a glimpse of what drove the author insane. The author was an alchemist of the early Fifth Age. His writings tell how he fell within Bhorys Thotob and he tells how his sword became a chronomantic nightmare weapon, one that slays the father of a foe, and eliminates the foe from history entirely. The journal details how to worship Bhorys Thotob and offers five spells (Contact Child of Bhorys Thotob, Deflecting Hand of Bhorys Thotob, Grasp of Bhorys Thotob, Fist of Bhorys Thotob, and Fist of Time). The journal also details the author's insane experiments with Chronomancy and how he escaped the Time Lords of Groll, and how one day Merandius and Kherit would lay waste to Inzeladun in their insane battles after the fall of the illithids. The author predicts the rise of dragons and how Bhorys Thotob will consume the world, offering godhood to those who bring about the consumption.
The original was translated by the Warlord Tharbaxus of Drychtnoth and seven copies were made. The original remained in the vast warlord library of Sprokxorclerat, and perished when that city was destroyed by Thigru Thorkisen on Yam ibn Saud's command. It is also believed that four of the translations also perished in that infernal disintegration of that once-great city.
