The Nexus Network of Magical
Focii
Certain areas of Inzeladun seem to be natural
focuses for types of magic. Rumors link the Old Ones to these spots, other rumors
attribute the sources to some sort of geomantic source. Whatever,
these hot spots, called nexus, are concentrated sites of pure magic.
Spells cast in these areas are extremely potent. Magic cast at one
of these nexus is cast at two levels higher and magic resistance is
reduced by 15. Magic cast that matches the type of concentration
there are cast at 5 levels higher with magic resistance opposed to it reduced by
21.
The Nexi are:
Kharzho on the shores of Talp Kolj
(Dagam): Oineromancy (Dream magic)
Atman Tor (Lamapacher):
Evocation
Hrothton (The Great Swamp):
Conjuration/Summoning
Inzeladun (Lamapacher): Chaos (wild
magic)
Neria's Castle in the Kargon Mntns (Drychtnoth):

Latipac City (Indor): Alteration
Mountain of
the God Men (Unknown Lands): Abjuration

Port Dirgon (Ahmn): Elemental
Water
Castles Forlorn (Ophyr): Chronomancy
The Great Temple of Set
(Khemt): Shadow magic
The Grand Grove of Anduin (Ophyr): Nature

The Tower (Dagam): Universal Magic
The nexus of Elemental
Fire, Elemental Cold, Elemental Earth, Elemental Lightning, Force Magic,
Dimensional Magic, and Law Magic are, at this time, undiscovered.
Rumors persist that Grindill the Archmage knew where they all were and
wrote the locations down in his books. But those books are nowhere
to be found. Grindill's researches were stolen by Demi (Maggie),
but, since her death, these books have not been
seen.
