They've explained the changes to the singleplayer campaign in detail to places like IGN. Part of it is elimination resource management and using smaller, fixed amounts of units that depend on strategy rather than numbers (which is what they mean when they refer to CoH), and part of it is the integration of more RPG-like mechanics, such as going on "quests" and obtaining new, better items to equip your squads with.
So we're pretty well informed on that aspect. It's the multiplayer component that's still a big question mark.
