Well, I think part of the reason is monster books require so many illustrations, which makes them expensive to produce. In addition, there are
GSL factors keeping some companies from producing the kind of monster book they would like to do. Necromancer Games is a good example of the latter.

Thanks. Just FYI, the next two Critter Cache products,
Prehistoric Beasts and
Animals & Beasts, have between 5 and 8 more monsters each. They will also cover a wider range of levels.
On a side note, is there anyway for my post to not affect the overall rating of this review? I'm not about to score my own product, but it seems if I leave the scoring blank, it drags down the overall rating. Heh, maybe it's to keep publishers from responding to reviews.
