I suppose that, given your association with the Creature Catalogue, it would be more logical to put that sort of thing onto a CC section of ENWiki and get a crew of wikieditors to help put it together. In fact, ENWiki pages could go beyond what your index can do and create detailed articles that give grouped information on several related creatures (like beholder-kin or draconians) and then a set of links to all the external places where monsters can be found. And any CC conversions (and
SRD monsters) could be slapped up on the wiki too (and then given categories for navigation and lots of useful links).
But it would take ages to do, so it is probably best left for later.

Alzrius's list is great. I'm pretty sure I've seen it before. Strangly (for something on Planewalker.com) it doesn't have home planes or pantheons, so I think that AuldDragon's idea could still be very useful.
