Even if they work without the magnetic mat, are they better on it?
Y'know, you don't need a summoning spell. You can get me 24/7 on my blog and 15/7 on Twitter (@geeksdreamgirl). ;-)

They are thinner than the other 3-D dungeon walls I've seen, but look fairly sturdy. We were discussing them on Twitter and someone mentioned that the hinges on his broke. (The company gladly provided him a refund.) I'm not sure how much use and abuse they got before that happened.

You don't need a magnetic map for them to work. (Their site says you can actually put a thin sheet of metal under a regular battlemap for the same effect - Home Depot trip, anyone?)

They sell clip on magnets for the walls that make them stick REALLY well to the magnetic battlemap. If you have players who are rough with the minis or a cat that likes to walk across the game table, these would be a wise addition.

(Full disclosure: I don't work for Dark-Platypus, nor did they give me any free stuff. I just like neat things, and talking about neat things. Especially neat things I'd buy if I had more disposable income.) ;-)
