Thank you for this. If I may offer a critique: the text is very small. I think that you could change the layout to reduce the degree of indentation, specifically in the sections after the "anatomy of a combat turn." You can easily reclaim about 4 lines that way. This may enable you to bump up the font size.
Interesting note, while listening to the Penny Arcade podcast, it was explained by by the DM (Chris Perkins) that Magic Missle (a basic ranged attack) could be used to deliver an Opportunity Attack.
Always wondered what the point of a basic ranged attack was.
Edit: Forget it, I am thinking Chris screwed up...

I think it was allowed at the time of the podcast (it was done awhile back, remember.) But I noticed that too.

Thank you. This will be a big help to the new players in my campaign.

Are you sure this is correct I thought it was only Ranged (as appears lower in the list of modifiers.)

Your summary of critical hits is incorrect. A rolled natural 20 is only an automatic hit. The maximum damage only comes into play if the modified result is sufficient to hit the opponent's AC.
That's canon anyway; I imagine several DMs will be house-ruling that one.
Unless DMs are throwing crazy leveled monsters at their party, I doubt it will come up. Usually 20 + your mod should be plenty to hit a monster.
Harr, you definitely have recently played with some newbies. That's the exact sort of comment I'm seeing from my 3 new-to-rpgs players. Cracks me up but reminds me how much I can't assume they understand the basic mechanics that haven't changed in a decade that we all take for granted.
The crib sheet is great, I'm printing these out next session. Conditions would be nice, too, as a back. In the mean time we've just had our conditions page tabbed and usually open combined with the conditions from KotS.

Down on the list: seemingly real close to releasing a notebook essential. It's in layout! Has been for months now. (Just nod politely so I won't cry about this.)
