Wonderful stuff. I have yet to really dive into the mechanics of this and your Undead collection, but the "seeds" from the creature descriptions are already gestating in my mind.

Please continue sharing your work.

Remember the old module - Expedition to the Barrier Peaks? Your Far Realms critters could make a nice new updated version of that adventure, or its own spinoff

Nice work!

I am continuing with The Book of Serious Threats, but I am having trouble finding the time for it at the moment. I also contributed a few creatures to Sporemines creature building thread (which maybe distracted me a bit)

This is the list of solos complete (stat blocks) I have so far, and will make up the first section.

Possessed Wizard - 1 artillery
3 Headed Giant Rat - 1 brute
Bog Beast - 2 control
Spitting Fungus - 2 artillery
Langstile Worm - 3 lurker
Tusk Ogre Savage - 3 brute
Hobgoblin Bane Marked Veteran - 4soldier
Corpse Contingency - 4 brute
Monstrous River Crab - 5 skirmish
Insect Lord - 5 control
Goblin Necromancer - 6 control
Troll Enforcer - 6 soldier
Dragon Spider - 7 skirmish
Third Eye of Exlas'Morr - 7 artillery
Frozen Yeti - 8 brute
Nightmare Render - 8 lurker
Angel of Torture - 9 control
Numdrin Thrasher - 9 soldier
Desolate Un-Maker of L'Rott - 10 brute
Sir Aiden Stormsong - 10 skirmish

I am also toying with the idea of doing a dragons section, but we will see.

Just wanted to bump the thread and mention that I wrote a blog about the Book of Distant Stars to make sure more people hear about it.

I'm really enjoying the material and am working on a couple adventures already for my 4e campaigns. Thanks MH!

Thanks for the review!

Its always nice to get some feedback, tragically I am just too busy at the moment to complete "The book of serious threats", but rest assured I havn't given up on it.

Happy to review it MH...

Between the Book of Distant Stars and the Critter Cache 6: Lovecraftian Bestiary, I've been having some really evil ideas for some new adventures.

Feel free to pity my poor Players... muahaha
