Technomancer Class?

Hey all. One of my players has expressed interest in playing a technomancer or technologist class. The rest of my players are playing normal classes, so does anybody know about a good class that could be integrated into a normal campaign easily?

When he's not looking, reskin all of the wizard powers so that they sound like technology is being used. See how long it takes him to notice.

Artificer, Artificer, Artificer.

Go tell your player to buy an Eberron Player's Guide; it's perfect.

hrumph --- well those are both the answers I was thinking of... though technically a technomancer is supposed to be a scientist who intentionally skins what he does like it was magic in order to manipulate the primitive emotions of the unlearned... so reskinning a wizard as though it uses technology is backwards ;-)

Pick up the Eberron Player's Guide (or wait a few more weeks till the content hits Insider) and let him play an artificer.

The consensus seems to be Artificier, so I'll give that a looksee.

If he doesn't like that, I have a thematic reskin for a 'technomancer' right here:

APS - Another Martial Wizard: The Gadgeteer

Feel free to mess with it as you wish .

Goodman games is also putting out the Amethyst game setting, which should have tech based classes in it (the setting is a tech vs. magic type of campaign).

That it is, and although you can most absolutely homebrew it to make it a magic/technology comingle, the classes presented are completely non-magical.

Everything else is magical but the classes we have are not.

We do have laser guns if that's any consolation.
