When Animals Attack
Ten animals, both realistic and fantastic, wander into the Creature Catalogue.
The mammal kingdom is represented by the orangutan, the giant raccoon and the giant sheep.
A couple of bizarre variants of real world creatures follow, including the scissor-jawed bassnip and the saw-edged scaled snake.
From Down Under come the giant echidna, kangaroo, and wallaby. From even deeper down under, we find the giant viper fish and vurgens (giant gulper eel). |

Land of the Lost
Nope, no sleestaks, but 10 prehistoric creatures trample into the Creature Catalogue.
First up we have five dinosaurs, the titanic kronosaurus, the swift ornitholestes, the frightening pentaceratops, the walking garden shears known as the therezinosaurus, and the velociraptor's bigger cousin, the Utahraptor.
Although not a dinosaur, the massive megalania, or giant plains lizard, can definitely hold its own against the terrible lizards.
Finally, the three sizes of thylacoleonid, or marsupial lions, are no cuddly koalas, while the uintatherium, a multi-horned rhino, can mow down most foes. |

Animalistic
A mixed bag of creatures resembling animals enter the CC, including the antlike bacar, the serpentine kartang and messenger snake, the toadlike daggoran, the icegliding polar spider, the elephantine kaluk, and the lizardlike mythic goanna. Rounding out the batch are a trio of otherworldly entities: the thieving viltch, the earth-dwelling xaren, and the negative energy linked grave watcher.

Mayday, May Day, mayday!
Nine flying (or pouncing) terrors swoop down on the Creature Catalogue, accompanied by an invader from the Red Planet. This batch includes the alien High Martian, the crazy Jaleeda Bird, the living gateways known as MagiStars, the foul Manni, the bloodsucking Mansalauan, the comical yet deadly Pigeontoad, the terrifying Spirit Leopard, and bizarre Wirchler. Rounding out the batch are the living embodiments of pluma magic, the lesser and greater Plumazotl.

Gargoyles, mutants, and other oddities
Five variant gargoyles have invaded the Creature Catalogue, including the archer, spouter, stone lion, gargoyle of the Tors, and the so-called "true gargoyle", the grist. This batch also includes three entities associated with the Far Realm, the maddening brood gibberlings and the troll mutates and their dreaded matriarch. Finally, the Maztican ahuizotl and the extraplanar ethyk round out this bunch.

Fools Rush In
It's April 1st, so time to welcome a few more oddballs to the Creature Catalogue.
First, we've got the ravenous death sheep. Joining them are the pigalopes, odd pig/kangaroo hybrids from a spelljamming asteroid. Continuing the crazed hybrid theme so common to mad wizards, we have the turtledoves, flying terrapins with a serenity-inducing bite.
