Monsters and Class levels

Greetings all,

Let me begin by apologizing if this has been covered in another thread already.

I've done all the research I can, and still can't figure this on out. I'm adding 10 levels of Sorcerer to a 15 HD Beholder. How exactly, do I write its HD entry, including average HP?

The best I can figure, it would look like this:

HD: {(15d8)+(10d4)}+25. (117)

This seems a bit much to me but, according to the MM and PHB, I think I've got it right...

Help??

Yes, something like that, I think it's written something like this:

15d8+10d4+25 (117 hp)

At least, that's how I do it, but I suggest you go with what feels right for you.

Oh, and it would be better for you to invest in the Beholder Mage prestige class from the Monsters of Faerûn Monstrous Compendium™ than sorcerer, just a comment though, not everyone likes a beholder that can let loose ten spells a round
