RPGNow Downloaders Monthly *** FREE ***

http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=585

With the huge influx of publishers to the electronic delivery market, we decided to create a monthly electronic magazine that would help you sort through the cornucopia of available products. We'll use this magazine to highlight top sellers, provide reviews, relate news, and generally show off what e-publishers can do. Not only that, but each issue will give you some entertaining, useful or interesting articles and columns provided by the publishers who contribute to the phenomenon that is RPGNow.

Special thanks to Matt and Brett and all the other vendors for their super work on this!

James

Just wanted to say that the 'zine is really nice. I liked the landscape layout since this is the sort of thing I'll mainly read at my computer. It all fits on the screen at once and keeps to 10-12 words per line that makes reading easy.

Kudoes also to the layout guys and columnists.

Good question... there are some issues with that but I could just create a seperate mailing list with that to make sure it's valid emails that get it.

Or I could create a yahoo group to spreed it.

I would very much like for other web sites out there to help spreed the product so feel free to post it around. We like to get customers to signup at our site, but a quick easy download from a PDF publisher or support site is also cool with us.

It's supposed to be a self-promotional and product awarness e-zine. Something to draw attention to decent products, to non-d20 products, try to help publishers, and to give a few freebies away in the process.

Maybe that's a bit too much at once or too large of a focus... I think we'll try to have "themes" in the future. Like an issue of mainly reviews, or an issue of publisher help, etc.

Of course we're very interested in comments and feedback on the subject. It was just our first try We'll tighten it up a bit.

i REALLY wouldn't mind something along the lines of "Monthly top sellers" and info on WHAT they are at least a paragraph or such.

Something that says what some new products are, ones that DO sell and some information on them...

i honestly don't care about roleplaying articles or how-to articles, i goto rpgnow to shop and a nice catalog of goodies, and informaiton on goodies would aid me tremendously...you just have too much stuff to go through each individual item at a time..

I just want to thank everyone for saying they enjoyed the 'zine, since I feel I made a pretty nice contribution myself. By the way, anyone with any comments on my article? I'm going to be writing one every month, and would love some feedback on what I should and perhaps should-not do?

Thanks all!

Downloading a copy now. Since I do like to buy pdf products (partially because of the price and to save shelf space) knowing what's available will come in handy.

Thats true, a decription of about one sentence would be ideal, or little icons that represent certain things.

Hope everyone liked "Whack it Good" and got the joke

"Whack is Good" was very funny, thanks!

One request: put the issuing month somewhere (the footer) on every page, most especially the Top 10 list page (probably up at the top, month and year). It doesn't mean nearly as much without context.

Thanks for a useful tool.

Guess I popped up too late to be included. Will the Psionics Companion be in the next issue?

Strutinan, let me know what issue you get into, I can do a "Whack it Good" on Psionics.

Also James, if your listening (or Matt) if you do go themed, I'll align the comic to the theme.
