First Post and a Q

heya guys, Im currently running a campaign. My question is, Can Demons, or Devils (aka Baatezu or Tanari) be energy drained? Like if a PitFiend was fighting a Vampire. Are they immune? do they get a saving throw (normally you wouldnt get one)? Thanks for you input

We'll the only reason i asked is because they say in the outplanes monster manual that Lemures (lowest rank of Batezzu) often when killed reform or are chosen to come back as wraiths or specters. Now if there are wraiths or specters in the 9 hells would it stand to reason that Pitfiends or any greater Bateezzu would be immune to their attacks? (being that they are at such a lower station than the rest of the Hierarchy?) can you tell yet that I've been playing this game way to long? Opinions anyone?

IMO....check out some of Scott's conversions on the demons and devils. Look at what the Outsider subtype allows and doesn't allow. That should tell you if they are immune to it or not.

Unless a monster's description or subtype specifically states that it is immune to energy drain attacks, then it can be affected. For example, constructs cannot, but outsiders can (unless the specific description states otherwise).
