How about a site for homebrews?
I really enjoy scoping out all the critters posted in Homebrews, but the problem is that these posts get pushed down and out of sight, leaving some homebrew monsters lost and forgotten in the depths of cyberspace.
Scott, Erica, and Boz have the CC to immortalize their work, so we get to see and use their conversions and original monsters with little difficulty. I was wondering if anyone out there had thought of creating a site where people could contribute their Homebrews and give them a permanent (as permanent as you get on the web) home? Sorta like this HackMaster site:
Hey...we'd be happy to host them at Fantaseum. Problem is is that no one sends us anything anymore. I get a few files here and there but nothing significant.
Click on the www link in my sig and let me know. I post the files as they come in.

If you join the Yahoo group for the CC, you can upload any files you want!
Yahoo is soooo quirky.....

Lots of things need improving such as a) testing in netscape, b) sorting, c) searching, d) proper OGL license e) perhaps different fields, f) new site design?
If anyone has any comments on any of these (or maybe you want to donate a site design?) that will be appreciated.

Well, the color scheme could be better, and It should be on a dedicated site (no other stuff) but it's a start
a, works in netscape 4.7 so it should work in newer versions as well.
b, Nothing to sort yet, only one creature on the page...
c, Sorry...
d, can't help there either...
e, elaborate. What different fields, perhaps a page for each creature type, and one for templates?
f, defenitly, needs a better color scheme, I personally have always been partial towards green... But the color is up to you, it's your page after all.

Hey, I like the way it looks! I'm very glad someone got the gumption to actually do this! I'll tryt o contribute some critters; it may take a little while, but I'll do it fairly soon.

I have cleaned the site up a bit, and put what I think is a correct OGL License up (I'd love for someone to see if I've got this right and let me know!)
I can handle all the searching/sorting stuff myself.
Do people think my choice of fields for creatures is correct, e.g. should I be splitting type and size into two fields etc.
We've now had 2 contributions (I apologise to Devon for using one of the creatures here, but I needed on to test so I may remove that later.)

I like the way you have it set up now. It would be cool if you could add a brief description about each monster next to its link, like you do with CR and Type. Like Scott does with converted creatures.

1. Changed color scheme
2. Done pretty logo
3. Added drop-downs for size and type (and added subtypes)
4. We now have 6 creatures!
5. Brief description field added (although none of the ones up have them!)
Um- the Yahoo group is dead. I moved the news list from there to topica.com like months and months ago.
So- right now the only place for HomeBrews is well...the HomeBrews forum, though I think the Colonel has a good idea for a site and posting the HomeBrews there.
Grazzt, have you checked out the one posted? What's your thoughts on it?
