Wanted: Illustrator for D&D E-Book

I have a D&D-compatable e-book (".pdf" format) I'm wanting to publish. It will be titled Ages of Arms & Armor. It is a comprehensive, play-tested, and balanced set of alternative combat rules for use with 3rd Edition D&D. (I will update it for 3.5, once those rulebooks come out.)

Damage reduction ("DR") for armor is integral to these rules. Many players (cer-tainly not the majority, but many players nevertheless) were disappointed that 3rd Edition with its total re-engineering of the D&D system did not incorporate armor DR into the combat rules, and there is still a good number of players desiring this. (I've seen the "armor DR" subject come up many, many times in the House Rules forum.) But no one has yet come up with a comprehensive – as well as a thoroughly play-tested and balanced – set of rules incorporating armor DR into 3rd Edition D&D.

Well, Ages of Arms & Armor does all that – and lots more.

Ages of Arms & Armor is designed primarily for low- to mid-level (1st to 10th, and maybe even as high as 12th) campaigns that have a more realistic and historical feel to them, while still keeping the heroic fantasy aspects of D&D. Thus, Ages of Arms & Armor is ideal for the Birthright and the Kingdom of Kalamar campaign settings, as well as for the "mythical-historical" sourcebooks from Avalanche press. Ages of Arms & Armor is also ideal for those wanting to combine the d20 rules system with the mythical-historical settings found in other role-playing systems, such as Ars Magica, Vampire: The Dark Ages, and Mage: The Sorcerers Crusade.

Above all, the Ages of Arms & Armor alternative combat rules are highly playable, and they maintain the abstract and heroic features of D&D combat. (These rules are not an attempt to make 3rd Edition D&D combat more like that of GURPS, RoleMaster, or Harn.)

I'd like for this professional-looking e-book to have a few illustrations. The kind I'm looking for is illos of various fantasy-Medieval-Renaissance weapons and armor, and illos of combatants using those weapons and armor against each other. The "look" I'd like would be similar to that seen in the Birthright and the Kingdom of Kalamar campaign sourcebooks.

If any of you out there would like to get involved in this project, please send me an e-mail, addressed to...

azlan@attbi.com

I will send you a ".pdf" copy of Ages of Arms & Armor, and you in return can send me samples of your artwork.

Ah. Sorry. I had not noticed "Industry Forums: Open Calls & Job Vacancies". (Generally, I use the following link, which does not display all the forums: http://enworld.cyberstreet.com/forum...?s=&forumid=1.)

Hmm... The list of forums and sub-forums keeps growing and growing! There's practically a niche for everything, nowadays.

So, uh... Why do so many off-topics such as "NHL/NBA Playoffs" and "Oldest Theory Disproved" keep showing up under "General RPG Discussion"?

I have a friend who might be interested in this. He does just the sort of art you're looking for. I emailed him the link, along with the text of your message, in case the board is down when he looks in.
