Attention Freelance Writers!

Transfinite Publications is looking for writers to submit to its magazines. The payment rate is 2 cents/word, and detailed information is available on our website. At present, four magazines are being run in the Transfinite Publications stable. These are:

Almanac, a magazine covering Third Edition D&D. Each issue has a specific theme attached to it, such as ‘The Apocalypse’, ‘War’, or ‘The Arctic’. Possible article ideas are listed on the website. Articles should be between 2,000 and 5,000 words.

Lemurian Dreams, a magazine featuring fantasy fiction. Each issue will contain several short stories, and also ‘author’s notes’ designed to make the issues easy to use in campaigns. Short stories should be between 3,000 and 8,000 words.

Royal Griffon, an adventure magazine. Each issue will feature a full-length module, with other pieces wrapped around it. If you are interested in writing a full-length module, please get in touch!

Concept Horizons, a magazine covering general topics associated with D20, at present with a focus on D20 modern. Again, each issue has a specific theme – more details available on the website.

I also sent something, mine to Lemurian Dreams, I figured there would be a several weeks wait before I heard anything, but the other posts here made me wonder if I should.

What is the typical turn around time on hearing back from submissions?

I'm pretty sure I sent it through the website, which auto-set the subject, should that make it more likely to not be filtered out accidently?

I also submitted copy around the end of July, but I emailed it from Hotmail instead of from your site. I haven't heard back yet, but I'm going to resubmit the articles from the website instead.
