New B&W Arteest!

Hi, I'm a B&W fantasy artist, looking for some light to moderate illustration work. I love to draw, so anything you pay will be mutually agreeable. See my work at www.angelfire.com/art2/sketchyflames729 , or drop me a line at either SketchrKid@comcast.net (e-mail) or Firesketch729 (AIM) Also, maybe I should mention I'm 12, if that makes a difference. I'd also appreciate fellow artist's comments.

I'm Out.

I couldnt get to the portfolio section of your site.....nice dragon though!

Better to post your site link to the Art Gallery, Cartography & Miniatures forum....lots of friendly artists there.

I don't know the complications of paying a 12 year old for work done over the net, but something you may want to consider...SWAG. Free copies of books and stuff instead of cold hard cash.

Seems to work for the older people, lol

Well, it took a bit, but I did find the entrance. Its good to see even someone your age to finish the backgrounds on thier pieces. Keep up the good work, especially promotion tactics. However, being a webmaster for my own site, please please loose the repeating word backgrounds, really hurts the eyes.

take care

Shane

You're how old? I try not to think of how my work looked at that age. -_-;

Hey, it's a start. My only advice to you is what every artist on the face of the Earth would give you: more life drawing. I know it's not something you wanna hear, but stop drawing quite so much mosters and dragons, and draw boring stuff. Still life, normal people right in front of you, architecture outside your window. Draw from life. You'll see the difference quickly once you start practicing what matters. You'll see.

But hey, it definately is a start. One more thing . . . try to be more consistant with your webpage layouts if you plan it to be a portfolio site. Make it as clear as possible, use other portfolio sites as a guide. Take a look at what the professionals do.

Well, that's all. Good job, keep up your drawing!

Something that would help you also is posting your art on another site. Thats what I've done and been able to get clients just fine.

If your work is strictly fantasy then you can use elfwood,
www.elfwood.com

Or you could try:
www.deviantart.com

Which is where I am at. Its free to use, and has a fairly clean interface.
