Casca the Norman

I'm along time fan of "Casca", a series of novels about an immortal Roman legionary, awesome stuff! (though some of the books are obviously not written by same person and suck IMHO, lol)

Anyway, after original author died, aother folk have written novels for the series (officially licensed, by the way)
and I know the current writer from emails, so got asked to do a potential cover for a new Casca novel!

Alas, my pic isn't gonna be used, but was ok'd to put it on my site
I'm more into "scenes", not graphic design or painting I must confess.

Very nice work, SE. Though I must say: the girl looks like she may have visited a plastic surgeon for a little "augmentation" work. I like all the differences between the warriors...armor, shields, etc.

Rhun
cheers bud!
well, if you look at her in the, ahem, raw, she's got..droop, natural built, ahum
Hey, given the choice, if a gal had ample accoutrements, would you say "no, they get in the way!!"

making people's hard, even if they are from Poser (*), so I save them for re-iuse in other renders, so, I now have a bunch o suitable folk for D&D stuff

(*) getting them to look GOOD is hard.

I can only imagine the amount of talent and work it takes to get things right. I'm not an artist myself...I've never been able to draw people. But I can appreciate artwork. So keep up the good work!

(And I also prefer ample accoutrements in my ladies.)

Well, I'm more of a techician and builder, than an artist, actually

I showed my pal how I do this stuff and he was amazed having thought I built it all by hand, which thankfully I don't have to or I'd be here all year making 1 scene, lol.

Using Poser takes a lot of the hard work out. getting it looking good though, and other issues, yes, that takes skill...but it's skill most folk CAN learn, you don't have ot be Rembrandt, just have imagination to imagine a scene, and a lot of effort and patience ot learn the skills.
I'm not a gifted natural artist, I can't paint that kind of stuff, wish I could!! I just imagine scenes, and work out how I can achieve that.

Give it a try, you may like it You can get DAZ Studio (an alternate version fo Poser, sort of) and "Michael" and "Victoria" stuff free, and Bryce 5.5 is sitll a free legit download on Download.com
I use Vue Infinite to build my scenes in, but it's expensive, the "demo" verison though iirc, last for ever, just adds a big watermark to pics made with it.
