Where best to buy Warhammer 40K?

I hope this is the best forum for this!

A friend of mine is working on convincing me to jump into Warhammer 40K, and out of the races I investigated on the Games Workshop website, the Tau, look like they'd be fun.

Any recommendations on good online stores to purchase GW minis from? And mini craft tools also, as I have absolutely nothing but a box of prepainted D&D minis right now.

E-bay is always good if you are cruising for a deal and not too picky, and you may be able to score a prepainted army for less than retail. It can be a great way to jump into the game with the least effort.
