I've been making a lot of use of the Coat of Arms Visual Designer lately. It's nice to be able to present the players in my campaign with a coat of arms for any NPC without going through a lot of effort
Here are a few examples that I've processed further with graphics editing software to get a "hand-painted" look:
"I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge - myth is more potent than history - dreams are more powerful than facts - hope always triumphs over experience - laughter is the cure for grief - love is stronger than death." -Robert Fulghum
My basic procedure is to enlarge the orginal Coat of Arms Visual Designer image by 300%, since Virtual Painter works better at a larger size.
Then I color in the Coat of Arms with gradients and textures, again because Virtual Painter gives a better result if there is more variance in the image.
Finally, I run the Virtual Painter plugin. Usually I combine the Oil Painting and Impasto filters to get the hand painted shield look.
The images posted here I resized back to their original dimensions.
Those are great! I hope you share more down the road!

I thought easily with those we'd have 50,000 or more [buyers], but when people began to write me [with questions] about what fantasy books to read, and I saw the wide range of both younger and older people who were attracted to the game, I understood that it was reaching a deeper chord, something deep within us.” – E. Those are superb! I need to learn how to do that - or to comission someone to do some of these for the ruling families in my campaign setting.
Indeed, indeed.
Vail, I looked through your album. Definitely awesome work!

So what is the best way for me to get these from you? Just "save as...", or do you have them saved in a PDF, or similar? Do you have them on Photobucket?

Within the broad parameters give in the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Volumes, YOU are creator and final arbiter. May you find as much pleasure in so doing as the rest of us do.

All the images are in an album here on EN World. I don't see any download options, so I think you would have to navigate through the album and 'Save image as' each coat of arms you were interested in.
