Grim Tales Primer?

Hi, is there a sample PDF of Grim Tales rules/mechanics I can look at? A try before you buy kind of thing is what I'm looking for--I'm not one to spend money blind.

I'm going to look for EN World reviews of it, to see if that has some insights, but it's nice to see a sample first.

Thanks!

The reviews should tell you quite a bit.

You can also poke around the GT-SRD here:

If you have specific questions I will be happy to answer them.

Hey Wulf, I can't pull up the GT-SRD anymore. Know anything?

I've got the same prob. It'd be nice to be able peruse it in conjunction with my GT book, considering I've got a GT game coming up.

I check in on it periodically... it seems to come and go.

Trailblazer is now available. Questions? Try HERE. What folks are saying:
Spoiler:
  • I am profoundly impressed. The mathematical analyses were very enlightening, and the revisions based on those analyses were right on the money.
  • This is the best $4.95 I have ever spent on a gaming product.
  • This is exactly what a 3.75 ruleset should look like. If you really want to stick with a 3.5-based system, I think Trailblazer is the way to go.
  • Some of the changes are bold to say the least, and I don't agree with everything, but I really like the analytic approach.
  • The solution to multiclassed spellcasters is so elegant and effective that it should probably be adopted by all d20 games.
  • Really suffers in comparison to Pathfinder. Black and white with little to no art vs. full-color, loaded with art.

Next time it comes, do we want to save it and host it somewhere else more reliable? I'd be happy to store it as a Word document on my www.box.net account, for example.

The obvious solution would be for me to host it myself, but I have a couple of reasons not to do so. I'd prefer it remain a fan-community thing.

If you look ENworld's Modern forum, Kirin'Tor (the keeper of the SRD) has popped in to explain the outage. It will be coming back up.

It might be worth dropping him a line if you want to help him out with server space, though I take it his server needs are particular.
