Trailblazer Hard Copy

1) Any idea of a target date for a hard copy book?

2) Pure PDF hard copy or do you intend to add additional content / depth?

My old friend and original layout guru, Brad Kelley, is working on it now.

Since his price can't be beat, he has a lot of leeway with regards to schedule.

Errata, typos, reworked layout, lots of clarifications, and additions (including a whole chapter).

We'll update the PDF when the print version goes live (RPGnow should push it out automatically to all purchasers).

Trailblazer is now available. Questions? Try HERE. What folks are saying:
Spoiler:
  • I am profoundly impressed. The mathematical analyses were very enlightening, and the revisions based on those analyses were right on the money.
  • This is the best $4.95 I have ever spent on a gaming product.
  • This is exactly what a 3.75 ruleset should look like. If you really want to stick with a 3.5-based system, I think Trailblazer is the way to go.
  • Some of the changes are bold to say the least, and I don't agree with everything, but I really like the analytic approach.
  • The solution to multiclassed spellcasters is so elegant and effective that it should probably be adopted by all d20 games.
  • Really suffers in comparison to Pathfinder. Black and white with little to no art vs. full-color, loaded with art.

I seem to recall he's thinking of doing it through Amazon PoD. Not sure what their prices look like. If it's through Lulu... it might be reasonable, it might not. Softbacks through Lulu are usually more reasonable in price but there's some really odd costing going on there. I experimented with seeing the shipping cost for Cartoon Action Hour 2 and get some odd results, even on the softcover side.

Cool, I haven't done any Amazon PoD yet. Should be OK though. IME Lulu has ridiculous postage costs.

Not What I Wanted!!!

I went looking for the hardcover TrB at Amazon.com today and this is what I found first:

Spoiler:

Yeah, the image is hotlinked. If you can't see it and are curious, click here to go to Amazon.com.

Wvlf and/or GlassJaw: How close are you to having me pay real money for a hard copy?

It's certainly been a longer wait than I hoped for but the overall presentation of the book and the additional content has greatly benefited from the extra time.

You only get one "bite" at the print apple so we're working to make sure it's as polished as possible.
