More gaming, less posting

Posted 10th March 2009 at 09:44 PM by Bayonet_Chris (BayonetGames)
I've been pretty much consumed with real life, so what spare time I have after the other necessary distractions in life comes down to am I gaming or posting about gaming. Most of the time, the answer is gaming - which is why I haven't been blogging much as of late.

It'll probably remain that way for a while as I continue to add to the setting and run it regularly.

Skill Challenge layout

Posted 9th July 2008 at 10:07 PM by Bayonet_Chris (BayonetGames)
This is a really good format for laying out a skill challenge for use in a game.

House Rule: Pushing on

Posted 8th July 2008 at 03:21 PM by Bayonet_Chris (BayonetGames)

Sometimes a short rest is not advisable or possible due to circumstances. Characters can instead spend a healing surge and, instead of healing, gain all of the benefits of a short rest. They may spend other healing surges as needed to heal.

The character must be between encounters (not in combat) to use this ability.

Winter's Shadow

Posted 7th July 2008 at 11:04 PM by Bayonet_Chris (BayonetGames)
Updated 8th July 2008 at 03:26 PM by Bayonet_Chris
The first 4E adventure to be published by BayonetGames is called "Winter's Shadow". The design is complete and I'm working on writing it up, preparing it for layout, and identifying art needs.

I'll be running internal playtests this week and, once I get through with any revisions from that, will be sending it out for some external playtests.
In Winter’s Shadow™, the player characters find themselves in the middle of a conflict on the Isle of Deldesheim. The Baron of Deldesheim, Evander Agenor, is getting married in one week to the Lady Keira Morris, a noble from across the sea in Boyden Arbor. One week ago, a host of goblins and other beasts from the feywild invaded. After pushing back the initial assault, the Baron mobilized his troops, supplemented by two companies of troops from the Royal brigade. During the final battle against the fey, the Baron’s only daughter is kidnapped, which could cause the conflict to spiral out of control. Can the players rescue the Baron’s daughter and prevent a full scale war while battling their way through wild goblins, fey knights, and a mysterious gang of kidnappers?
