Do you know Crown, city of the fallen?

A few years back, 5 or 6, to be exact, I started working on a new d20 setting called Crown. It was to be an urban setting, well, rather, it is an urban setting...with a twist. I worked hard on it for a long time, with a friend of mine, but finally, after a year, the core book was ready. It was picked up by Dark Quest Games, and I started working on new aspects of the book, like the artwork. It took a while before it was published (only in pdf, though we had talked about bringing it to print) and soon after we started a new Crown project, a series of Crown shortstories. One of which was written by the Wandering Men, called the Skein of Shadows, another which is coming out...soon.
I've played a few Crown campaigns over the years, but not for over a year, and I was wondering if anyone has even heard of this setting?
If you haven't, no problem, I dont expect a lot of people to have heard of it, but if you have heard of it...or even read one of the books...I'd like to hear what you think of it.

Just about to use a lot of it for my campaign.
I bought all the books. I'm reading them now. I'm borrowing liberally from Crown and some of the pirate cities to make a coastal city state similar to Sanctuary by Robert Lynn Asprin. In this world the Elves and Humans had a terrible war when the elves decided the humans bred like orcs and there could be no control for their numbers accept blood shed.
Between warfare and withdrawal much of a desolate coast was abandoned to nasties and wilderness. The only hold out was Crown. Crown accepted regional leadership almost by default and is now a city state of huge importance. A voice in the wilderness.
Some of your history I'm reworking to occur precisely at the end of the Elf war.
I'm enjoying the work. I bought your books but haven't read the fiction yet. There's a great deal I like in the setting.
Thank You.

Thanks! Great to hear that the setting is being used by others, and the whole point by making a single city setting, was that it could be used with various other published and homebrew settings. I am a great fan of Sanctuary, and the way that city was created has been a great inspiration for me. I wanted a shared world, where fiction meets roleplaying.
Also, if you want more free Crown material, you can visit the following sites;
www.wanderingmen.com (these are the guys that created the Skein of Shadows collection)
www.wandermans-realm.dk (My own site, with a link to a Crown site, with lots of pictures, an interactive map and other stuff)Posted 30th September 2008 at 06:31 PM by Brekkil
