A place to post my thoughts on 4e and gaming in general.
Power Enhancement Feats
Power enhancement feats improve the effect of specific powers. The following power enhancement feats improve some of the Holy Paladin powers posted earlier.
Bane of the Black Heart (Holy Paladin, Power Enhancement)
Prerequisite: detect evil power
Benefit: When you use your detect evil power, you gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls against creatures it reveals to be Evil or Chaotic Evil for the duration of the power.
Holy Protection (Holy Paladin, Power Enhancement)
Prerequisite: protection from evil power or hallowed defences power
Benefit: The power bonus to defences from your protection from evil and hallowed defences powers increases to +3.
Loyal Mount (Holy Paladin, Power Enhancement)
Prerequisite: summon mount power
Benefit: The celestial charger you summon with your summon mount power disappears after 10 hours or if you take an extended rest. It disappears as normal if it is slain or if you dismiss it as a free action.
Necrotic Protection (Holy Paladin, Power Enhancement)
Prerequisite: necrotic ward power
Benefit: The target of your necrotic ward power also gains necrotic resistance equal to your level + your Charisma modifier for the duration of the power.

I don't think I'm at all qualified to comment on power level. I just haven't seen the range of play in question.
This is kind of a picky thing to fixate on, but why the 5 square limit on the holy mount? Does the creature persisting past a certain point have a big impact?
Personally I loath "must stay within X" rules because they really bang on a fundamental weakness of the game system.
In RL people move together. So if two people are walking they move together 1 square then 1 square then 1 square.
In DnD? One guy moves 6 (or 12 or 16 if they're running) then the next guy moves his 6/12/16.
If a player is running (for whatever reason) and his mount is running nearby to keep up with him he can be obeying the spirit of the rules but get tangled up in letter of the rules.
Personally if you have to set a distance I'd make it 50 squares or something. So the PC could leap off his horse, run into the castle to report to the prince and then run back out and have his loyal mount waiting.

This is somewhat embarrassing for me to admit, but I've completely forgotten why I had that 5 square restriction in the first place.
I think it had something to do with ensuring that the celestial charger could not be used as an extra combatant, but the mount takes no actions unless ridden clause takes care of that anyway.
If I can't think of a good reason to retain it by the end of the day, I'll just edit it out.
Thanks again, Graf.
