I recently bought the Revised Edition of the True20 Adventure Roleplaying core rulebook as well as the True20 Bestiary, and I have to say I'm loving this game.
Reading the books gives me all sorts of new gaming ideas that just don't work for a standard d20 system game. I've already decided to convert my homebrewed Dark World campaign setting to True20 and have even converted one character already... Kelvar Brande
Race: Human (male)
Role: 8th-level holy warrior (Riath)
Size: Medium.
Speed: 30 ft.
Abilities: Str +3, Dex +1, Con +2, Int +0, Wis +3, Cha +0
Skills: Concentration +7, Diplomacy +2, Handle Animal +4, Intimidate +4, Knowledge (theology and philosophy) +6, Notice +9, Ride +3, Stealth +7
Feats: Armor Training (light), Armor Training (heavy), Cleave, Dedicated, Great Cleave, Leadership, Lightning Reflexes, Skill Training (x2), Weapon Training
Core Ability: Higher Purpose.
Powers (Wisdom-based, +10 bonus, Save Difficulty 17): Combat Sense, Pain
Combat: Attack +9 (Dex); Damage +3 (unarmed), +7 (greatsword); Defense +1 (Dex); Initiative +1
Saving Throws: Toughness +2 (+6 with breastplate); Fortitude +8; Reflex +5; Will +9
Languages: Common, Dwarven.
Height: 5 ft., 7 in.
Weight: 210 lbs.
Age: 30
Weapons: Greatsword
Armor: Breastplate
Equipment:
Money: 7,200 sp
Obviously, the character is still a work in progress since he doesn't have all his money allocated to equipment, but I'm happy with the basics.
Kelvar Brande was meant to be a Blackguard of Riath; however, with the very simple roles of True20, I can simply use the holy warrior role presented in the revised book.
Cheers!
