Space Alert

I got to play Space Alert on the weekend. Oh, boy, is this a fun game! Best co-operative game I've played. (BSG isn't co-operative). Sort of Red November meets Galaxy Trucker...

Please sign these waivers... | Space Alert | Board Game Geekdō

Anyone else played it yet?

Cheers!

Played it only once right now... There's A LOT of things happening all at once and me and my girlfriend got overwhelmed.

Three players for the first games looks like the "sweet spot": One player listens to the audio, one checks actions and energy expenditures and the last players draws cards and places stuff on the map.

I plan on stopping the clock after each phase and resolve the actions then for the first game. That way, the other two players will "get" how the game works faster.

The game really looks fantastic and fun. The KAOS (yes, more KAOS than chaos) it creates on the table is fun. Quick thinking and action are critical!

Played it a couple times. It's an interesting concept and well-executed, but I just myself uninterested in most co-op games. Space Alert is no exception.

Space Alert is indeed a well executed game and lots of fun, but of course, you've got to like co-op game.

My girlfriend loves these types of games (and coop + traitors games)

Which, as luck turns out, I like too!

This game sounds pretty cool from everything I've read so far - here and on BGG. Too bad it's basically going to head to head against Pegasus for our gaming dollar.

Yes, that is unfortunate.

Pegasus is on my "must buy" list - and I currently have to money to get it, so I will.

Cheers!
