Pathfinder Strategy Guide Delayed Until February

The Pathfinder Strategy Guide has been delayed again. The character optimization book which contains "walkthroughs of all 11 core classes [to] help you create and customize exactly the characters you want to play" has had a bad print run.

The new release date is February 25, 2015. The official announcement says:

The long-awaited Pathfinder RPG Strategy Guide hardcover arrived from out printer late last week, and we were disappointed to discover that the printer had bound all of the pages before the ink had fully dried, resulting in damage to the entire print run. We have discussed the issue with our printer, who apologized for the misprint and have agreed to replace the entire print run at their expense.

Unfortunately, this will result in a considerable delay in the book's release, shifting the Strategy Guide from a December release to a formal release date of February 25, 2015.

We appreciate your understanding and patience with this additional delay. The book is a fantastic resource for new Pathfinder players, and will be a welcome addition to the Pathfinder RPG library.

I bet this will be a really attractive, well-organized, interesting book, and very useful to PF players we are extra fiddly with their characters.

But does it seem a little odd that Pathfinder needs another rulebook....to better explain and help players manage the rules? That just sounds absurd. It's as if they're saying "thank you for buying this complex software...we realize that with all its dimensions it's too difficult for most people to use effectively...fortunately for you we offer consulting services in the form of this new hardback to help you figure out it!"

Yeah...no.

In a way, appreciate the scaffolding teaching-technique being used in this product. But it does hint at concerns about the core system... Why not issue revisions to the system to better reflect an intuitive approach?
