Another roundup of fan-created D&D 5th Edition resources, where I scour the web so you don't have to! This is what I've managed to find in the last week or so. This time I have some hex grids, oriental character builds, a gun mage, a fighter-mage, and a new magical item.
- Blog of Holding made some print-resolution province, kingdom, and continent hex grid pdfs based on the 5e DMG specifications.
- There's a new post in Harbinger of Doom, discussing the Realmslore behind the Lost Mine of Phandelver and suggesting alternate motivations for some of the NPCs.
- Michael Long presents some 5E samurai and ninja builds.
- The Bag of Krampus is a new magic item.
- Here's an illustration of the Flying Snake from the D&D Basic Rules, by The Realms of Auria.
- This isn't fan-created, but boingboing has collected together a bunch of the art from the DMG that WotC has been previewing over the last month or so.
- What about a Gun Mage Arcane Tradition for Wizards?
- A while back, Bill Cavalier, the Dungeon Bastard, ran a trial run of the DMG's Dungeon Generator via Twitter. He storified it here. Well worth the read!
- The Fighter-mage is a "a missing old school touch to the 5th edition" over at Castles & Chimeras.
- And this isn't 5E specific, but relevant nonetheless. The Fodder Cannon discusses 5 Things DMs Can Learn From Comics.
