Didn't Paizo just do this last year with Ultimate Races? Including Aasimar, Gnolls, Lizardfolk, kobolds, Ravenfolk/Tengu/whatever, Tieflings...maybe Centaurs and a few Shadow fey types?

Yes, Kobold Press started this series back in 2012. This collects a different set of races, but there's some overlap with the Paizo book as well (including Paizo staffer like SRM and Amanda Hamon Kunz).

Advanced Race Guide came out a couple years back. Also later this year Paizo going to release Inner Sea Races Hardcover.

July 2013. So not quite two years. The Inner Sea Races book is presumably more campaign-specific.
I don't really care, I'm not getting either one, it just seems like it's covering the same ground.

Two years since release, true. Kobold Press was working on the series starting in October or November 2012. Publisher-time is not quite the same as release time.
