I may have missed it, but what rules will this game use? WOIN? Or a new set?

It's how we always do our Kickstarters. It’s designed to ensure nobody has to wait months for their rewards; it’s guaranteed and risk free. In other words, we take the risk on ourselves and shell out for development rather than passing it on to the customer, as in a regular Kickstarter, and just fund the print runs.

In this case, “finished” means the books are done, and we have our proof copies, but the KS will pay for the print run to get them out to you.

When the KS ends, we order the print run and ship right away. No waiting! No chance of non-fulfilment.

Thank you for giving a specific date when the KS starts.

This sounds as the biggest project Enworld Publishing has ever done. Good luck with the KS!

As a side note: Is there a free WOIN 'light' rules pdf? It might help people get an idea on how the core rules play and how they work. I know it's ENWorld Publishing's main RPG system these days, but that's where my knowledge ends. I suspect that many potential KS backers for a JD/2000AD RPG might know even less...

      There is!

      https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product...EW-Starter-Kit

(It is a *very* simplified version, and therefore doesn't match the "full" rules in some places, but you can see the core mechanic there).

      Looking forward to this!

Will the PDF be available at the end of the campaign?

Definitely I'm buying, maybe even on the KS if it won't be like £100 per set..

Yep, I'm definitely going in on this one. I haven't read a 2000AD story in years I can see myself being dragged back...

Will you be using an international shippibg partner to Australia? The horendous shipping prices is why I have only ever backed on KS.

We'll use the best/cheapest shippings option we can. Australia is a long way away, but we'll do our best.

Don't forget New Zealand (it's even further away!).

I think there is a company that deals with distribution around Australia/New Zealand - Aetherworks? They've been used by other Kickstarter projects.

So you've really been able to include everything from Slaine to Nemesis the Warlock?

      i'm definitely interested now! ...

To clarify: *this* book is the core rules of the game and contains setting information for Mega-City One.

Future setting books/adventures will include things like Slaine and Nemesis, using the rules in this core rulebook.

I'm very interested in this. Two big positives for me are
      1. This isn't a wholly new system; the WOIN system has been out for a while so initial bugs etc are likely to have been caught, and I think it works well.
      2. The art will, presumably, be taken mostly from the original comics. (Is this the case?) Sorry to say it but I didn't really like the art in the WOIN core books, to the extent that it put me off getting them.

The potential application of the system to multiple settings including Slaine, Nemesis etc is a possible negative - I'd rather have more Dredd. Although Strontium Dog and ABC Warriors are obviously compatible with Dredd, so that would be fine.

I hope the graphic design and layout looks professional. This was another negative for me with the WOIN books. Big elaborate borders on every page and over-sized body text says 1990s-era DTP to me.

Florix Grabundae, that makes a lot of sense. Just another question I understand that the focus of the game is for PCs to be Judges and that includes Psi-Division, but I wonder does the rule set allow for PCs as Perps or as Mutants in the Cursed Earth? (or will that come after Strontium Dog)

You can play a variety of Judge, Perp, or Civilian careers.

You can also choose from Humans, Clones, Robots, Mutants, and three types of Ape.
