UK4- When a Star Falls

Has anbody converted this to 3rd Ed/3.5? I recently bought a copy on Ebay and would love to use it my new campaign, but as I never played 2nd ed I'm having a little trouble with the conversion!

it's a 1st edition D&D (not that it makes THAT much of a difference) adventure. I'd grab the conversion document from the wizard's site and take a stab at it. It should still be there right?

Or just use the story hooks and plot line and go from there convert it loosely.

It is a fantastic adventure, full of interesting hooks (best ever initial link for PCs, with the Memory Web, IMO).

I've not done a 3.5e conversion since I ran it with my players back in the days when I first had it. Apart from the gnomes machine I don't think you'd have any real problems converting it. The Forgotten Realms 'shade' template is ideal for the monk IIRC.

Thanks for your advice guys- I think what I'm going to do is just switch out all the monsters for 3rd ed ones of appropriate CR, and make the classed NPCS in ETools. I found a conversion online for the Memory Web (the thing that was giving me the most grief updating) so all is well!

I'm running this as a surprise for one of my players- about a year ago, we were talking about adventures in general, and he mentioned playing this one about ten years ago and said he'd really like to play it again. Didn't realise it was 1st ed, I only started playing about 3 years ago, so THACO and such things are all greek to me. My boyfriend has been very amused by my reading through the adventure and exclaming at various points 'AC 2!?? That's ****!!' Yes, he has explained to me how it worked back in pre-3rd Ed days
