Soulknife is one of the classes I upgrade to Good BAB in my houserules (along with Monk, Marshal, Totemist, and Incarnate)

Has anyone else house ruled the Soulknife as having a full BAB? I know I plan on doing so the next 3.5 game I run.
I think that would probably nudge them from the "slightly weak" category into the "slightly strong" category. If you like soulknives, I'd say it's a good move. I think soulknives are underrated, and it's not strictly necessary, but giving them a BAB boost is unlikely to harm anyone's campaign.
Yep, I houseruled them into full BAB (and I also houseruled them so that they could add any DMG properties to their soulblade, and not just the ones in the class).
This brought them up to par with the other fighting classes in our campaign.
Cheers

I think of Soulknives less like Fighters and more like Monks, so I've never boosted their BAB- hit & run skirmishers, not toe-to-toe warriors.
However, I don't think it would unbalance anything appreciably if you did that (for either of those classes).
The one HR I have done consistently for Soulknives is I don't make them take the full round action to reshape their mindblade every time they manifest it- in effect, the blade "remembers" the last shape it took. Combined with the Soulknife Feats in Dragon #341, it adds a nice little boost without "stepping on anyone's toes."

Yes. I consider the official ruling on that to be simply incorrect, based on the rules in the XPH, but there you go.
