For balancing factor, if I were you I will concern more about WEAKNESSES of vampire.

They can't operate outside under daylight. So, unless your party is mainly operating in Underdark or other dark environment, you are now very ineffective as an adventurer.

If a mirror or a holy symbol is presented, vampires can't even make melee attacks against that one, so basically, melee-based vampires are often totally uselesss. And LA +8 makes them a very weak spellcaster for sure.

If your PC is a spellcaster or archer type, you may enjoy benefit of higher stats and some of the abilities (especially domination) for a while. But those benefits will soon become insignificant. When other PCs advance in level and you stay as a 12th-level vampire for a long, long, long, time.
