Bard 4, Druid 3, Shadow Dancer 2, Arcane Hierophant 2, FouclanLyrist 9 .. +17 bab, 14th druid spells, 15th bard, music, a little wildshape, hide in plain sight, darkvision, evasion, uncanny dodge, skills etc seems just about what the 1st ed bard ended up being but with a more middle eastern dancing dervish sufi mystic theme.
In the exalted kind of sense. Actually, the (extremely evil) party I DM currently has a long-term NPC (and "emergency food source") that has absolutely no offensive spells, at least none to do actual damage. Not because he's a pacifist, though. Because he's a coward, who has a "save my ass" application for every spell he's learned. Even touch of fatigue...he uses it to activate ~ +11 AC from feats like Battle Caster, Combat Expertise, fighting defensive with cautious trait, etc... not as an attack.
Proudly, his only evocation spell is...you guessed it: Resilient Sphere.
I have to say, though not the true pacifist I'd like to play some day, his hilarious level of surprisingly not-quite-but-nearly-uselessness has been a lot of fun, and I'm glad the party decided to not kill him off.
My online gaming group, Torch of Spirit (Contains all information for the current game I'm co-DMing as well as lots of houserules I'm using or considering for the future. Feel free to check it out.)
That Fochlucan Lyrist build could be improved with Green Whisperer IIRC...

I really want to try out a Jade Phoenix Mage build from ToB: Bo9S. Sadly, I haven't had the opportunity to try one out in a game. One of these days, hopefully.

I just created a 1st level druid planning to go Dru4 Wiz3 Arcane Heirophant10 Mystic Theurge 3. Always wondered how they would be in practice.
I would go Dru3 Wiz3 Theurge 2 to qualify for the PrC and end up with 9th level spells, but the game most likely will never get that far and it wont matter much for the low level playability.
He's a House Vidalis(I think, whichever are known as the Keepers). Dragonmarked human. His plan will be to take the Beast totem feats and obtain a Displacer Beast mount that serves as his companion familiar. Eventually he might try to find a way to turn it into a Magebred displacer beast companion familiar Seemed like an awesome character concept, so hopefully it will be as fun as I imagine it to be.
