This is not the first Doctor Who RPG. The first one published was a system created by FASA back in the mid 1980s, which used a similar system to their Star Trek RPG. I used to run that game back in... [Read More]
Just a thought ... could a low-level Wizard use Prestidigitation to hold a Vampire at bay? Here's what I'm thinking: cast Prestidigitation on one cubic foot of rations to give them the strong odor of garlic for an hour.
Would this work? Just thinking about something that might give a him a chance besides running away... Thanks!

"Prestidigitation can create small objects, but they look crude and artificial. The materials created by a prestidigitation spell are extremely fragile, and they cannot be used as tools, weapons, or spell components." so I'd agree that it won't work.
You want the first level metacrative power minor creation for this. Sudden minor creation is also nice, and both can produce steaks and holy symbols, as well. (I build a vampire hunter as a cleric / psy-warrior once and found it worked very well)

I saw these large elephants tethered to a small stake. I asked him, 'How can you keep such a large elephant tied to such a small stake?' He said, 'When the elephants are small, they try to pull out the stake, and they fail. When they grow large, they never try to pull out the stake again.' That parable reminds me that we have to go for what we think we're fully capable of, not limit ourselves by what we've been in the past." -Vivek Paul
I'd have to agree with the above posts. The moving water might work. I might allow the Presdidigitated galic force a WILL save to see through it imidiatly, like the Daze spell, but only since you were creative, and I'm a nice DM. Given it's low DC and the fact he'd realize it isn't real next round for sure, it wouldn't be a great idea unless it was that or death.
