New Dragon Troll Article Up, But Down!

Well, the new Troll Article is up, but the link is down. I'd tried posting on the WotC boards, but it wouldn't let me (this after signing in to DDI THEN the message boards).

See, I'm used to it cuz, the links are usually messed up enough that I can't "Right-Click and Save As" so I just open it up on the web and THEN save it. But now, I can't do either!

Anyway, if ENWorld, which has less capital behind it can do it, then WotC should b able to.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I like the DDI stuff so far, and the guys at WotC are great, and they generally put out good products, but c'mon!!

It's issues like this that make me skeptical about the prospects of Game Table being worth the subscription.

I want it offline too. I don't want to be forced to use an updated version at some arbitrary moment - say in climactic battle. I doubt the online tools will be much more than toys and rules. The rules (and rules-lookup) might be useful, and the out-of-game toys (like a character designer) might also be - but I'm very skeptical of the game management aids.

4e balanced random loot system

- Think item wishlists are devilspawn?
- Dislike the impact of a few bad item picks by the DM on the party?
- Or find it ludicrous that PC's constantly just "happen" to find magic items tailored to their needs?
Try: A simpler treasure system for (mostly) random loot.

3.5 death&dying variant

- Tired of players that won't cure their mortally wounded allies 'cause "he's only at -2"?
- Tired of a dying mechanic which uses anachronistic d10's?
- Tired of a dying mechanic which never kicks into action for high level characters, which tend to go from alive and kicking to instant death before anyone can intervene?
- Tired of horribly complex house rules?
Try: Death & Dying - a better (and simple!) system

They really need to get their information flow sorted out - this sort of stuff up damages their credibility every time it happens.

The only reason to get the DDI at the moment is the Dragon and Dungeon content but that keeps having issues.

Aw, come on, it's just a case of putting up the link before they put up the file. I can't see why they keep doing that, though, but it's standard operating procedure.
