I just received it by mail today. It's really, really cool. It folds out sideways into four gatefolds, as opposed to standing gatefold which helps balance it nicely. Made of glossy board, it has practically every table necessary to play the game.
The only thing it's missing is weapons and armor tables, which I plan to pin to the cover.
I saw it wrapped in the store the other day and noted its thickness. I had heard poor things about it, though. Are there skill challenges on the screen ? Are they the correct (errata'ed DC's ?)
WotC has an errata pdf for the screen that you can print and stick right over the section of the screen.
it's at the same spot of their site as the errata for the phb, dmg, mm

Yeah, as a temp DM for a session, I used it once (from the main DM).
physical quality wise, I have to agree it is one of the best i've ever used (sturdy board, length-wise, good for covering of notes but not blocking my view of the rest of the table).
content wise, it seemed full of useful info. However, since it was my one time using it, i was not used to it yet (and i had all the pages bookmarked in my books next to me anyway). I am certain that if i used it frequently i would like the choice of content and not needed to look in my books as much as i did.

Great news! I'd much rather have cover rather than just concealment from my players!
Yeah, okay, that quote won for the day

The DM Screen is an excellent product! I find myself looking at the screen for info much more often now than I did in 3E, because I don't have as difficult a time finding it. Furthermore, as others have already mentioned, it's ideal height, quite long, and heavy/thick/sturdy.
I've heard complaints about this product, based upon the Skill Challenge DC table presented inside, though I don't agree with those complaints. WotC not only made errata available before the product was in stores, but it is possibly the most easy-to-use piece of errata WotC has ever produced: simply print, cut, and glue it on. Done! (I'm happy that the company is willing to take these steps to correct their products!)
I was mildly disappointed that this DM's Screen didn't come with any inserts. I own the original 3.0E DM Screen, and it came with a thin 8.5"x11" booklet presenting some abbreviated rules from the DMG. I used that booklet a fair bit at the time, but sadly, there's no such insert in the 4E product. However, the main event, the DM's Screen, is superior to the 3E version in every other way.
In short, I highly recommend this product! (Now, the Character Record Sheets, OTOH...)

That original 3.0 screen was awful. Worst one in the history of the game- It would fall over if I gave it a dirty look
On topic, whats the deal with the DCs on the 4E screen? same error as in the DMG?

I think people sometimes get too fixated about what's "official" to see what they could do with the whole- "David "Zeb" Cook
Can anyone take a pic of the screen folded out and post it here (just wanna see how tall/wide it is)? I'd really like to see what it looks like unfolded before my amazon order finally gets here.

I was able to fix the errors for Target DCs using the official errata. I printed to an Avery label sheet (8165, which is basically an 8.5" x 11" giant label that you can custom cut) and pasted it right over the erroneous section. Looks great, it fits over the incorrect table perfectly!
