I am interested in hearing this play out, I really liked the little Punjar gazetteer from Free RPG day, the place reads somewhere between Sanctuary, and City State of the Invincible Overlord, and I am considering running the module.
The character creation cast is way too long, but amusing for all the wrong reasons, mostly for the stereotypes of the players, there's the guy who just won't leave his laptop alone (you hear it boot up at least 3 times) and he won't stop talking about Spore, there is the doormat girl who is all "I'll be be whatever you want, I usually end up playing the cleric, so I guess that's what I like"
It sounds as if they are also playing
KotS with the pregens (those terrible, terrible pregens) so while they know how to play, their character creation skills are 0. The DM is super generous in stat rolling (4d6, drop the lowest, reroll 1s, roll 3 sets, and pick one) and one of them still manages to roll badly (I think it is AlwaystheCleric Girl.)
Once gameplay gets underway (cast 2) it goes a bit more smoothly, I would have liked to hear more about the city, instead of let's take an hour to equip ourselves, then boom! here you are in front of the enterance to the dungeon.
