It is that obvious, but it took me some time to start reading the powers right. I only got into
4e a couple of months ago, and at first I also had some problems. I can see where you think that Swift Charge is a continuous power, but the point to have in mind is: think of it as a power. Standard Action, Trigger, Effect. Period.
The reason why you canīt keep charging is because the use of that power only states that once. You canīt ASSUME anything and simply assume that it allows you to have such a benefit for the duration of your turn. To get another free charge, you have to use that power again. Thatīs the thing to have in mind when reading any power.
So, yes, itīs obvious. But it also takes some time to start reading the powers right...
