Draconomicon In General

Hello again guys, I have been reading through the first draconomicon and I didn't find anything on half-dragons, It would be great If I could run a half-purple dragon character, also, I noticed the purple dragon had some pretty cool powers, so what level do you think a group of 5 players need to be to defeat a young purple dragon? Lastly, do you think draconomicon 2 will include info on half-dragons? Thanks!

Draconomicon 2! Good grief, how many splat books do they think they can sell? I suspect it is a long ways off at the very least, lol. There are a couple more campaign setting books and AP coming out through the summer IIRC aren't there?

Remember, the first one was specifically Draconomicon: Chromatic Dragons.

1. Play a dragonborn, and convince your DM to let you use psychic as your breath weapon type.

2. It'd be nigh-trivial to come up with a quick and dirty half-dragon elite template. Slap some resistance, a breath weapon, and perhaps a clumsy fly speed on it and you're done. That said, there's probably a reason they haven't done it. As far as I know (not having read the 4e Draconomicon) 4e dragons lack the ridiculous fecundity of their 3e brethren, and the various "dragonspawn" creatures seem much more compelling than just applying a generic template to things.

I think they did away the half dragon concept and placed dragonborn insteadt..
