Warlock Multiclass Feat

Apologies if this has been asked before.

I am looking to take the Pact Initiate feat for a bard character I am building. In the text section of the feat, it tells me that I get to choose a pact and receive the at-will power for that pact for use as an encounter power. However, under the table that summarizes the feats, it says that I get eldritch blast for use as an encounter.

I've checked the FAQ and the errata for the PHB, but no luck. Has anyone else noticed this or found a way to deal with this?

Thanks.

Ignore the table, the feat itself is more specific. Thats the general rule for handling discrepancies like this. Since they don't consider an error like this requiring an update since there is a general rule for it, you won't see it appear in the erra... er "updates." For the same reason "fluff" and non-rule text like the "helpful" suggestions on how to build a character won't be erra... er "updated" either. The very fist article (stickyed up at the top) has this in it along with the other errors that people have caught and haven't been fixed.

Awesome, thanks alot.

So I assume that when I choose a certain warlock pact, I also gain the benefits associated with it? (minus the stuff that deals with a creature dying under a warlock curse, since I wouldent have it as a multiclassed character)

When a table disagrees with text, use the text.

This general rule is actually spelled out in the FAQ for the PHB over here:

Quote:
25. Sometimes there is a difference between a table and an entry for a feat, power, magic item or the like. Which one do I use?

In general, when a table contradicts a text entry, the text entry takes precedence.

However, when a magic item’s level listing doesn’t match the levels listed in its Property or Power text, use the level listing given with its price.

For example, the rod of feythorns (Adventurer’s Vault page 100) appears at levels 7, 12, 17, 22, and 27, but the Property entry lists increased effects at levels 18, 23, and 28. These property entries should be 17, 22, and 27, respectively.
