Items granting Extra channel divinity

Just seeking some clarification (and hopefully this is an easy one)

A number of items grant extra use of channel divinity (For example, from AV, Crusaders and Medics weapons) as a daily power. Hoever, the wording goes

(Quote) "Standard Action. Gain one additional use of Channel Divinity for this encounter."

So is that a standard action to simply get the ability back, or is it a standard action to use i.e. can he use the item and channel in the one action (e.g. turn undead) or is it 1 standard action to get channel divinity back and then one action to use it?

A standard action to activate. You still have to spend the normal action for the Channel Divinity you wish to use.
