First off, immediate actions can be on your turn, they just have to be triggered by an opponents actions
No, they can't. PHB page 268, the last sentence of the paragraph titled Once per Round.
Regardless, if you're tracking things round-by-round in this case, the interrupt is clearly taking place on the homeowner's turn, as he is taking an action to open the door.
Wow I was ultra wrong! . I suppose the fact that I was reading from the section marked "Actions on other turns" for my reference point should have been a give-away.
It would work. Chameleon triggers on the enemy's turn, then you have until the end of your own turn to get back under concealment/cover.
Martial power source definitely has less uses OOC for this powers, but there are a decent number of utility powers and a few others that can come in handy.
Looking at fighter powers... Sure Strike might be handy for hitting something accurately OOC.
Get Over Here could have many uses.
Unstoppable could be useful
Rain of Blows is great for churning butter. All the milkmaids will love you.
Defensive Training may be useful
Admittedly this is a short list and others might be handy, but I only looked at fighter up to level 6 in PHB.
Overally though I agree with you. Martial power source powers don't generally lend themselves to OOC or nonstandard use as much as the other sources do. Remember though, martial classes do have some advantages. Fighters are tough, which never hurts. Rogues can do quite a lot with their skills and many of their utility powers are quite useful. Rangers are rather skill monkeys. Most of the casting classes have less hit points and more limited skill lists.
Overall I think the fighter is one most losing out in this whole area. Luckily for them they almost always have athletics and endurance, which when push comes to shove are kind of gold OOC.

Now I'm worried that you mean this as two seperate benefits.
Well, you will have to start by using "Come and Get It" on them. Unless they use "No Opening", you can continue using "Armor-Piercing Thrust", until you finish off with "Sudden Surge".
And then they'll complain about you having to get a Short Rest before you can repeat it...
Well, what you're doing completely invalidating the need for any sort of lock, arcane or mundane. Any locked door, any impassable wall, as long as it isn't blocked by a Forbiddance effect, can be easily passed by an Eladrin with ten minutes of free time. That's far too powerful, in my opinion.
I am pretty sure that most Fighters would also manage to jump through an open or closed Window. Or bash in the door.
The neat thing is they can do it without opening anything, and so they can actually go in and try to steal babies, as every good fey should be able to. And leave people confounded how they entered.

You know, I can't decide if "Report Post" or "Give XP" are the appropriate responses to that...

(ducks behind cover.... )
Sounds like you might get your own "Rain of Blows"!
I have a dream about a non-combat use of a martial power:
- An archery competition where participants fire a single arrow at the bullseye
- Robin Hood (an archer ranger) taking aim, letting the arrow go, and winning by a single point (the modified die roll is higher with 1 than the next best)
- Robin Hood telling to the munchkin Little John: "Told you - Careful Attack was worth it!"

Folks, this is a Rules forum. Could you please take the conversation away from playing with the power names for innuendo, and back to actual use of the rules?
