The SS Morro Castle was a luxury ship, making the three-day run between Havana and New York. She left Havana on September the 5th, 1934. On September 7th, with increasing rain, rising winds and rough seas, Captain Robert Willmott begged off from the traditional dinner at the Captain's table and had a steward bring a meal to his cabin. Hours later, he was found dead.
Early in the morning of September the 8th, a fire broke out and quickly swept through the ship. One hundred and thirty-seven passengers and crew lost their lives before the burned out hulk beached itself near Asbury Park, New Jersey.
This is all true. To this day, no one is certain what happened during the last voyage of the Morro Castle.
Let's find out.
(To clarify, this the the 'Dread' game that uses the Jenga tower as the resolution mechanic).

Heh. Yeah, I didn't think anyone else would ever be able to do as much with that character, so I retired her as a PC option. She (and her hat!) will still make an appearance, though.
I'm jumping ship, so Keryn can have my slot. Sorry, RI, I really wanted to play this one, but apparently the reserved slot in JC's game was for me . . . and I decided I'd take him up on the offer!
Is this just the second time you'll be running this? And when should we pick characters? Once everything settles down and we are sure everyone is here to stay?
Second time. First time was last gameday (first time running Dread at all, for that matter).
Yeah, I figured I'd wait untill things finalized (or as much as they ever do) before picking characters. I have a couple other options that I can swap in, depending. Dread is RP-heavy, and sometimes people don't want to play different-gendered characters, for example. I want to make sure everyone has a role that at least feel comfortable with, even if it's not their ideal. Given how much the questionaire defines the character, even if the brief description doesn't sound that appealing, the player has a lot of leeway to define what the character really is.
